With all of the change in instructional practice and  classroom technology over the past several decades, why is it that classroom spaces remain largely unchanged?  Forward-facing, tablet arm chairs in columns and rows, much like the classroom environment of our grandparents, continue to be the norm.   Steelcase, a 100 year old company based in Grand Rapids, Michigan, has spent a decade researching learning environments.  In this session,  we’ll share the insights we’ve developed.  Participants will also see:  international classroom layouts, examine film exposing classroom activity of actual students working/learning, learn trends/issues faced by educational institutions, view an animation of what the “classroom of the future” could look like and learn about the documented results of our case study involving actual classroom trials.    Please join us for this engaging session!
