Taken as a content resource, textbooks offer a valuable starting point for learning, but too often textbooks become the box that we want our students to think outside of. Learning to cut ties with the textbook as the centerpiece of the classroom can be easier said than done, however. In this session, a 1:1 classroom veteran shares his observations and insights about what it takes to teach without a textbook in a classroom filled with learners and digital devices.
